Transitory spaces shift before your eyes: fleeting manifestations that paraphrase memories. The retention of reminiscences, like a collection of shards from the past, mementos that have been buried in the earth over the course of time. Traces of existence are arranged in fluid image constellations. The flow of time is observed, collected, processed so as to form a tangible presence: an imprint of an accumulation of passing moments. Spatial voids and temporal pauses are transformed into materials and media, reflecting potential, and embodying and reverberating the indefinable and elusive transitions in a state of hovering. In memory, associations remain fragmentary, incoherent and fragile and those are the elements that I wanted to capture in this autobiographical film. Following the compass of childhood memory and recollections of past incidents, I was led to wandering through space and time—just like the exploratory strolls with my father twenty years ago, where we searched for broken fragments of the past in the fields around my hometown. Through this process, boundaries vanish and linear storytelling is relativised, reflecting the process of remembrance. The challenge of localising spaces and transforming them into constant image flows emerges as a formal and semantic aspect of the work.
