In the bright crystal of your eyes, Show the havoc of fire, show its inspired works, And the paradise of its ashes. - Paul Eluard „Karat“ is an artificial sphere where a crystal is growing. It realizes a metaphorical living with the organism-like crystal form. This crystallization is a poetic process of materialization, that lets us dream - not only through the phenomenon of growing, but also by becoming reality as a trace of disappearance. The ambivalent imaginary landscape will appear in >>Karat<<, because the chemical phenomenon itself is the reaction of deprivation and saturation, which makes our mind resonate with it. I imagine a forest, full of growing trees that normally never have a chance to be born or to die. This alternation between ‚Ding‘ and ‚Unding‘ is the main motivation for this work. Every matter leaves its trace, where it is transforming. The real-time process of breathing-like light and sound of >>Karat<< sensualizes the phenomenon of this sphere. It emphasizes and maybe mystifies (telling some story) the becoming of this imaginary sphere in a immersisve way. Like we interpret totally different between diamond and graphite, although they consist of the same matter (carbon), sometimes we try to reflect ourselves in matter and the process of materialization in a poetical way but without any words, besides its general value.
