Applause

Applause during the first Lockdown Sound Archive (2020), Sound Installation (2022) Applause for medical staffs in Covid-19 Pandemic Daily recordings at 21:00, at Köln-Mülheim 20. MARCH - 19. May 2020 Pandemic changed a lot of our life since beginning of 2020. There was the first Lockdown in Germany from March, which everyone has shocked and got panic. A value of solidarity in society was emphasised again and there were a movement of doing applause at home to medical staffs who work extremely hard to save people against a virus at the forefront. Fortunately whole street of my neighbours enjoyed to join the movement, which helped me to be sane and also supported others. The Archive is a document of that time, everyone has been through to overcome together. Each objects of the sound Installation is playing each day of recordings with different length of pause to build several sequences in consider of the whole installation.
