„Lowlight“ draws a cinematically interesting portrait of New York nightlife, where social control mechanisms are becoming increasingly obscure. The authorities have been applying a law from the 1920ies that prohibits dancing. Neville finds his way into the New York underground, and against all odds, discovers a magic moment.
