Our story begins when history ends. By now, everyone, down to the farthest corners, knows that the world is going to end in three months. Everything humanity has created so far seems to to lose its meaning. People have already fought through despair, denial, panic, anger, fear and grief. All that remains is our last modest day. Jack serves as our tour guide through this day. He draws our attention to the inconspicuous sights and peculiarities of a world free from moral constraints; a world in which absurdity has become the new norm in which criminals deserve empathy and anarchists maintain order. To prepare himself for the end, Jack breaks away from anything that binds him to things and to himself. He says goodbye to his sister, meets hopeless optimists, bouncers to a drug parade and a mysterious woman. After he is almost shot - by a few marauding children - he reaches a farewell party on a hill, on which the once poor and homeless celebrate their last moments together. In the end, the apocalypse comes, as expected. But that's fine. All in all, it was a good death.
